Fortuna 1 Liga: Pardubice claim 2-0 win over Hradec Kralove

Pardubice keep winning streak alive

On Sunday, FC Pardubice continued their winning streak in the Fortuna 1 Liga with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over rivals FC Hradec Kralove at the Ďolíček Stadium.

The home side took the lead in the 25th minute through a well-taken goal from Tomas Solil. The midfielder received the ball in space on the edge of the area and fired a low shot into the bottom corner, leaving Hradec goalkeeper Tomas Koubek with no chance.

Hradec Kralove unable to find an equalizer

Hradec Kralove pushed for an equalizer in the second half, but they were unable to break down the resolute Pardubice defense. The visitors came closest to scoring in the 70th minute when Filip Kubala's header hit the crossbar.

Pardubice sealed the win in the 85th minute when Jiri Klima converted a penalty after Hradec defender Tomas Frystak was adjudged to have fouled Solil in the area.

The victory moved Pardubice up to third place in the Fortuna 1 Liga standings, while Hradec Kralove remained in 11th place.
